Comets in a larger catalogue
Space mode has a catalogue that includes comets as well as asteroids. Filtering and object lookup help locate selected named bodies; the completeness of size, orbit and trajectory details depends on the upstream data.
Calculated movement versus observed movement
A rendered orbital path is often calculated from published orbital elements. It is not a live stream of a comet’s observed position, and estimates become less reliable outside the interval where an orbital solution applies.
