Animals mode combines a wildlife map with species search, taxonomic names and available profiles. Some records include original source photographs, animal sounds and videos; media availability varies by species and licence.
What an occurrence means
Species observations are historical or provider-submitted records, not live GPS tracking of animals. Some positions are generalized for privacy and uncertainty. A lack of records does not prove a species is absent.
Learn by exploring
Animals Walk and Adventure modes offer an interactive, game-like way to collect wildlife cards in a virtual environment. Representations and decorative animals do not certify that a living creature is present at that spot.
